The Conservatory Repair Company
Solar Inserts Info
Todays homeowner wants more from their conservatory, They want to use it all year round, whatever the weather. However some Conservatories become too hot on summer days because of solar heat gain (and unless heated can become uncomfortably cold in the winter because of heat loss through the roof).
This is because up to 80% of the suns solar energy passes directly through a standard polycarbonate roof creating a 'greenhoues effect' inside, rendering the room in certain circumstances too hot to use.
What they Do
Solar Inserts with their integral solar protection prevent up to 80% of the suns solar energy from entering the conservatory through the roof, helping to maintain a comfortable internal temperature.
The roof will also reduce glare by 80%, further increasing comfort levels.
In winter, most of the heat lost escapes through the roof, With solar inserts fitted into the polycarbonate roof sheets, a large proportion of the rising heat is radiated back into the room, helping to maintain a comfortable enviroment
